Pop Culture Christians

If you follow the teachings and traditions of men, you will find yourself assimilating doctrine of the world without even being aware of it's origins. One of the common myths of civic Christianity is that Messiah wants you to go out among the sinners and convert them by acting and living just like them, but "with Jesus to" . This reveling in the worldly for the sake of the lost sinner is so pervasive that civic churches have a ministry for virtually every niche in society. Polluting the Holy with the profane is not how the Father works, nor how Messiah taught us to walk in our Faith. These self-serving ministries are evidence of a lack of sacrifice by those professing with their lips, but living in transgression of His will. It's that last stranglehold on the would-be believer, convincing them that they are somehow doing His will by clinging onto their worldly ways to serve the Father. If you feel the Father is calling you into the world, and into fellowship with sinners... you've got some serious explaining to do here:

Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Yah? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of Yah.” James 4:4

Testing The Spirits

You are from Yah, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from Yah; he who knows Yah listens to us; he who is not from Yah does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 1 John 4:4-6

Messiah’s Prayer for The Disciples

"I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. John 17:14

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Yah's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of Yah abides forever.” 1 John 2:15

Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. Romans 16:17

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Messiah, that you keep away from every brother who leads an unruly life and not according to the tradition which you received from us. 2 Thessalonians 3:6

Do not associate with a man given to anger; Or go with a hot-tempered man, Or you will learn his ways And find a snare for yourself. Proverbs 22:24-25

He who keeps the law is a discerning son, But he who is a companion of gluttons humiliates his father. Proverbs 28:7

Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals." 1 Corinthians 15:33

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm. Proverbs 13:20

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Messiah with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 2 Corinthians 6:14-15

But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler--not even to eat with such a one. 1 Corinthians 5:11

Leave the presence of a fool, Or you will not discern words of knowledge. Proverbs 14:7

I do not sit with deceitful men, Nor will I go with pretenders. I hate the assembly of evildoers, And I will not sit with the wicked. Psalms 26:4-5

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Father, And in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. Psalms 1:1-4

I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues; Revelation 18:4
